My friend is trying to register but is not having any success. He says he has the screen name the1poolguy but I can’t find it in a member search.

Should he just start over??

The system typically sends a confirmation email to the address submitted during the sign up. He needs to respond to the email. Sometimes that email ends up in the spam folder. If your friend is using Gmail on a phone, have him read this post from Spark in order to find the email the system sends:

1. Go to the desktop version of gmail, not the phone app version
2. Go to your junk folder
3. Mark all emails from BladeForums as not spam.
4. Profit
