Good Evening Everyone,

I just thought I would say hello and let you all know how much I've enjoyed the reading the forum before making my first post here. This seems to be a first class group of people here, which is no surprise considering the type of quality people that are into quality knives.

I've lived in Georgia my entire life, and my interest in knives started as a kid in Scouting. I'm an Eagle Scout, an engineer from Georgia Tech, and really got back into knives just before attending Blade Show 2012. I live about 12 minutes from where they hold Blade Show and am kicking myself for not going this year. I just knew my wallet couldn't take it. :D

I will probably thin my tiny little collection soon, as I just picked up a BM 300sn and a Domino. I am in love with this Domino and the 300sn has just sat in the safe. My others include some Swiss Army knives, a Leatherman Juice S2, a Kershaw Crown II and an original Cryo, Cold Steel Recon 1 Tanto Serrated, Spyderco BlackonBlack Para2 and a DigicamonBlack Para2, ZT 0550 Gen2 and a 200ST, Emerson Super Karambit black blade, ShadowTech Hiker, and a Ka Bar Kukri.

If I can pick up a Hinderer XM18 3" slicer, a Direware Solo V4, and a MKT Praetorian Ti, I can die a happy man.

Anyway, I'm happy I've finally crawled out from under my rock and look forward to participating more actively in the future.

Have a good night guys.

Dave

Hey Dave!

Do you not like the 300SN? I've handled one at my local knife shop amd thought it was pretty cool. It required a wrist flick to be flipped open though. Is that why you don't like yours?

I guess I'll jump in and make this a first-post thread for GT engineers who live in Atlanta and have been lurking on this site for a long time...

Actually I love the 300SN! I pull it out to play with quite a bit but just haven't carried it over the Domino yet. I bought it because I didn't own a Benchmade and wanted an Axis lock and just loved the way it looked. I had a chance to pick up the D2 version but I just don't have a need for that and I know Benchmade's reputation with 154CM.

I can actually open mine now without a wrist flick but you are correct, it certainly helps. I've already had someone here locally offer to buy it from me but I don't think I'll part with it.

I'm actually considering selling my ZT 0550, ZT 0200ST, and my Emerson Super Karambit. I just got both the ZTs back from the factory where they were sharpened and I carry the Karambit quite a bit but don't know if I can justify keeping it. I simply can't seem to convince myself to pull the trigger on listing these pieces.

Sweet! Good to have you Phil. Glad to see a another Techie here. It only makes sense that engineers are into knives like they usually are all things mechanical. I got out in 2000.

Welcome to Bladeforums

I do appreciate it RevDevil. I'm a big fan or your tag line "Proud Supporter of Common Sense." It seems to be in short supply these days, and it's nice to know some people still value that. Have a great weekend!

Welcome aboard

Thank you sir. I'm really enjoying this board and I'm really happy to hear from folks in GA. It looks like you've been here for awhile now. Cheers!

I may be enjoying this so much because this is the only message board I participate in, period. I don't do social media whatsoever and haven't been part of a forum since probably a decade ago when I had my motorcycle. I miss the bike but not the risk.
