hello there rambo 1988 here rambo is my given nick name from a group of friends I have the habbit of saving the day. really
I am starting to collect knives again. I had a decent collection when I was in denver. had a few gerbers one cold steel all the united rambo knives (junk but collectable) my big hobby is collecting movie props.
I am currently looking for a lile sly II ( impossible but still looking)
can I get some feedback about the timberline rambo repo? also the martin rambo repos I recently found a few made by colt on ebay uk (pretty sure its not the colt gun line of knives)
I have a few fury folders some sabres folders a nice little collection of swiss army folders. my pride and joy are the small pearl handled folders from my grandfather. I look forward to metting you folks
have a great night

Greetings.

Some of my early knives were Rambo: Gil Hebbin or something. The big Rambo III is made from 420J, which is massive, but you're right. The steel is junk. Don't have any info on anything later. As you get more into knives, hopefully you'll get more into money and your tastes will change. As for now, leave the Gerbers alone and start with affordable Columbia River (CRKT), Kershaw and Cold Steel mid-grade knives. Then will come Spyderco and Benchmade and whatever grabs you.

Fixed blade knives are a bit of a mixed bag. If you're ordering from a UK site, I'm afraid the only thing that will be legal there in a few years are plastic spoons. If you get the Timberline, let us know how you like it. Most of the folks on this board don't like movie or fantasy knives.

thanks much appreciated is there a forum that caters to movie knives?
this one is quite knowledgable and exstensive I am impressed
yes the timberline is proving to be a headache what about the AL Mar sf 10 that looks like a fantastic knife I was just looking at the martin knives I am impressed that a lot of the our troops favor the martin line
