Just wanted to introduce myself.
I've recently started 'formally' collecting fixed blade schrade knives, though I've had schrade knives for years. My dad always thought that schrades were good knives. He gave me a PH-2 when I was a teenager - I think they had just come out then. I also have a SP1 given to me by a hardware rep in around 1990 that I've carried with my keys almost every day since then - it says compliments of schrade cutlery.
My recent interest in collecting though started when my dad gave me a staglon handled fixed blade maybe 8 years ago - that I kept in my jeep, but then lost when I drove down the road with the knife on the bumper by accident. I always wanted to replace it, but never did. Then a year ago, he gave me a 152 that he got in another junk car. The sheath was ruined from being damp I guess, so I made a sheath for it. That got me thinking about the staglon schrade I lost years before, so I got online and tried to figure out what it was. In the process, I saw several cool staglon fixed handle knives, and I got the bug. One month later I now own a 172UH, 498, 171UH, and 153UH - in addition to the 152OT (though mine doesn't have the OT), my PH-2, and the SP1. My dad says I also have a rubbery handled fixed blade schrade at his house, which I can picture in my mind, but I'm not sure that it is actually a schrade - maybe a Case.
Anyways, just wanted to say Hi. I have several questions that I'll try to space out so I'm not bombarding the forum all at once.
