Hello. I’m a collector of guns, watches, and now knives. I’ve always liked knives and bought some quality stuff. Mostly chef style. Mostly from Mike Jones, Canada.

Anyway, friend selling dad’s collection. I bought these. I already know I’m under value. Just looking for input on what I really have. Any opinions appreciated. Thanks.

Last a little more interesting. Set of four made by Mike Whisker Allen from 9/11 twin tower steel beam. Have documentation.

Thanks in advance.

Very nice items.

Have you tried reaching out to the makers for feedback and authentication? They would know better than anyone else what their art is selling for.

Also, check Arizona Custom Knives; they are usually a good resource.

No. I know they’re authentic. Have all the paperwork. Was just trying to figure out current values. Maybe the route to take.

I did look at Arizona Knives. Couldn’t pin down exact pieces. The one Koji Hara is 20th anniversary and the 9/11 were custom made for the person I bought from.

With better custom knives it often comes down to marketing. You have to reach someone who likes the knife more than you do.

There are Rodger Bergh knives that have sold at Arizona Customs that are virtually identical to the top and bottom Bergh knives you have pictured. Not hard to find, as there are only two pages of Bergh knives on that site. Both knives I referenced are on page 2. Pics below (best I could do, AZC doesn't allows pics to be downloaded from their site). The listings are several years old, so they may not reflect current values.

Unless you get lucky and just happen to find recent sold listings somewhere for your exact knives, about all you can do is find something similar from the same makers, with the same materials and same level of work, and estimate from there. And if the knives were custom-made-to-order for the previous owner, then like not2sharp suggested, your only chance for any kind of accurate value might be to contact the makers.

I saw those. Arizona Knives is a good resource. However, they are 9-10 years old. I don’t really care what they’re worth. Was just trying to get current values for my own edification. I’d be embarrassed to disclose what I paid for the group.

It is difficult to say for most of these. You have several nice knives by well known makers, but in order to have a good idea about current value, there have to be equivalent knives being regularly bought and sold second hand. And that's just not the case for most makers.
