That's a pretty good deal on a Fat FBM.... a limited availability knife only offered at the Busse Company Store. :thumbup:

The best part is, you can use it without stressing out about breaking it as the Busse waranty is second to none.
 
I think you'll find that knife to be one of the best choppers out there.
 
thanks guys! and i'm getting Chuddy Bear to make me a sheath for it. I go on hikes a lot and i like to have some utility with me. For cutting and self defense. It will be used that's for sure. Can’t wait to try the INFI action out. Just incase the revolution, invasion or WW3 starts up, I’ll rest well knowing that if a nuke gets planted on my house the knife will still be there in useable condition lol
 
Whether it's a good deal depends on how you look at it and how much you like the knife.

That knife was $367 from the Company Store, plus about $20 for shipping, so you ended up paying about $60 more than what the knife would have cost you direct from the Company Store.

But to have gotten one from the Company Store, you would have had to have gone there during the twenty minutes or so that they were available, which means you'd have had to really lucky or have spent an inordinate amount of here waiting for clues about when they'd be hitting the store. There might be more available in the Company Store, but then again there might not. And if they do get more in, they'll sell out fast, so you'd have to be checking constantly.

And while you may have paid $60 more to get the knife on eBay than you would have to get it from the Company Store, when you take what the seller paid for the knife and figure in PayPal and eBay listing fees, the seller would be lucky to have made twenty bucks on the deal. Considering the seller's investment of time and money, that doesn't seem like a whole lot to me.
 
i saw the website but nothing was for sale. I mean, i'm not waiting until these knives are "in season" lol. I needed something now and the prices of used knives were almost all over $400 on a few forums. Not to mention these knives seem pretty niche and rare because there were zero ebay completed auctions for me to gauge a good price on them

When you look at it that way, it was an excellent buy. I doubt you could find one for much less on the secondary market, and you got a knife that will never let you down.
 
A good buy (IMO) and a very good investment! These appear to be limited and the value is sure to continue to increase, like all Busse blades. I am not advocating selling it, but, if in the future you decide to do so, you'll most likely see a significant profit.
