Hi, I am trying to find unground, untreated blanks, I have had no luck so far and have spent hours looking. Tons of ready to slap handles on blanks out there, but I don't want that. I am using scrap low carbon and stainless to practice grinding and shaping on. I am also going to make templates out of thin oak to use when I am ready to start making/trying to make a REAL knife. I have made some Items at work using our coal fired boiler and an I beam years ago, was a lot of fun, water quenched, didn't know any better and I am sure it was just construction grade flat stock. I don't have fancy equipment, but do have plenty of time and tools to remove metal. I have done a lot of scroll and bending and want to do this. As only a hobbyist, I am not in a hurry to turn things out for sale quickly. I have all I need and the patience to do one knife until complete regardless of the time needed. Any help finding these blanks would be greatly appreciated. I want to use these as my stage 2 practice knifes before spending a bunch of effort hammering or cutting one out just to ruin it with a bad grind. Thanks to all for any help. firestomp
