Hi guys,

I have been trying to replace a knife I lost a few years ago and found this forum. I hope you guys can guide me to what I want, even though it's probably not a topic of very much interest to most of you. About 6-7 years ago, I bought a small pen/manicure/gentleman's knife of German manufacture. I lost it about 2 years ago when it fell out of my pocket somehow. :grumpy: The case was all steel and I am almost 100% positive that the name on the blade was Mohde. It was about 2.5 in. long (closed) and had one pen blade, scissors, and a manicure file. The blade was great and sharpened easily and the manicure file was of much higher quality than normal Swiss Army type knives. I replaced it with a Victorinox steel pen knife that has the same tools, but it's just not the quality of the Mohde.

Do any of you have any recommendation for a top quality knive of this sort. I have been to a few knife shops in the Dallas area, but they either only carry Victorinox, or don't have anything in the quality I desire. They tell me most of the knives of this sort are now coming from China. I want something from Germany or Italy or US with top quality. Price is really not an issue, since I am sick of the Victorinox.

Any help? Thanks and greeting from Texas.

Thanks for the info. I have posted a thread in the European forum and will check out the two possibilities you mentioned. I appreciate it and also appreciate the welcome.

Welcome! For your first few posts, you're supposed to ask easy questions, like: "Is the Sebenza worth all that $$$?" or "What's Up With Striders?" You need to gradually build up to asking about obscure Euro-brands.

Ahhh, now I understand. No more hard questions from me until I have earned my stripes. :footinmou

But, can I just have this one, so I can maybe replace my knife????

Greetings from Texas.
