Hey everyone. Been reading these forums for quiet a while now. Long time knife hobbyist and EDC'er. Been building up my collection with various benchmade's and spyderco's. Finally decided to splash some cash on a like new Lg Sebenza 21 Insingo Carbon Fiber. It is being delivered at the house today while i'm at work. You can obviously tell this is all that is on my mind right now since this is what i'm doing other than working haha.

Anyways what i'm asking and excuse me if there is a previous thread on this. And please do comment the link if there is a thread. I want to know my options regarding sheaths/cases for my sebenza. I know there is the leather pouch and also sheath by CRK. I like the pouch so far the most. Are there any other options i might have? I remember Cutlerylover having a nice case/sheath for his. The reason i don't like the 50$ sheath from CRK is because it is vertical carry. I prefer horizontal carry and for this kind of knife, i would like a sheath that locks shut.

What are my options guys?

Cheers,
Alex

Ah so the CRK sheath can be carried horizontally? i was assuming it was vertical carry. Makes sense since this is a manufacturer with attention to detail.

You can see a better close up in other threads.
Go to the top of the page, in the upper right corner there is a search box, type in CRK sheath or anything else you may want to find and it will bring up past threads.

If you do carry horizontal with a CRK knife you will need a thin belt.
This works for me as I don't use wide belts.

You can get a custom sheath made. I have seen some real beauties over the years.
Probably best place to look is in the exchange under services(or what ever they call it here)

You don't get off that easy, we want pics of your new CRK. That is the price for such helpful suggestions :p

That's just pure knife porn right there. :D
Congratulations on your first CRK, welcome to BFC !!!!!
Write a short follow up on what you think about it, the Insigno blade is a favorite with many and a very useful style.

This knife is heaven to me. Always been a fan of this type of blade shape. I love my Benchmade large grip sheepsfoot. My first 100+ dollar knife i bought was a Spyderco Sage 1. I blame that knife for my addiction. So i've always been attracted to the carbon fiber. Which is why i also have a Sage 3 to go with them. I don't know if my pivot needs some grease on my Sebenza though. it has a decent amount of tension. Smooth, but needs some force. I'm aware its not Benchmade axis lock fast. But i also enjoy having the carbon fiber handle flat and smooth. It's a nice contrast from the textured carbon fiber on the sages. I'm just upset that my other knives aren't going to get as much usage. Guess I have to carry more knives on me
