Hi, Craig.
I met you at the Del Mar Gun Show in California, and was so impressed by your stuff that I ordered a 20 inch Sirupati, though from another knife dealer (your product, though). In fact, I started crusing the net and bought two more Khukuris, both from people that travel frequently to Nepal. Though the finish isn't up to your standards, they are definitely from Nepal and very much above the "dreck" from India and Pakistan that is being passed as "Gurkha Military". I have been a knife and sword collector for over 20 years and it only took me a few days to realize the quality that makes a genuine Khukuri.
One of my knives is very much like your Mini and the other looks like your Cheetlang, though only 15 inches in length and weighs only 15 ounces. The people I bought it from called it a "Chainpure" and it has what you called a chianpure type handle and buttcap. I was also told that both of these knives were purchased in the Annapura region of Nepal.
However, I just wanted to place the blame for my new found addiction on the proper person. You really shouldn't have been so friendly and informative.
