The metal head retaining clip attached to haft is a bit more unique?

Only marking is “800” (likely weight?)

needs a new handle, undecided if I should use metal clip plus wedge vs wedge fit only.

The langet and 800 stamping for weight are European. Maybe Russian??

I've had very similar looking axes that were German. Odd that there isn't a makers mark though...

Is that clip original or part of a repair? I'd rehang it without the clip.
