Well I pretty much joined here at BF just so I could take part in the discussions here on the Becker forums. I was taken with Becker fever really bad a couple weeks ago.
I got a BK16 last week, ordered some kydex from azwelke before the thing even showed up, and right out of the box i stripped the coating.
I love how it feels, and already have put it through some tasks out in the woods.
Here's my problem, one of the scales doesn't sit on the knife quite right. It is not flush with the tang, it sits below so on the top of the knife on the right side, there is a few millimeters of steel exposed, and obviously on the bottom, the scale comes down farther then the steel. There also seems to be some space between the steel and the scales (again, this is only on one side) Anyone had this happen?
Would it be worth buying some new scales, or contacting kabar?
This little setback has done nothing to cure my BK fever. I have a BK14 on the way, and plans for a 9 or a 7 probably next week, if I can hold off that long.....
Heck I can already see a 2, 17, 15, 11, and 24 in my future too.
