Good morning everyone, new member here. I've been into collecting knives for about 10 years now, started when I was about 12 I wanna say. I enjoy collecting vintage knives the most and have Alcoso, J.A. Henckels, Eickhorn, Puma, and Schrade-Walden knives and two hand made kukris from Nepal and North Western India to name a few. I also enjoy collecting firearms and hunting. I enjoy the quality of the knives I've purchased but I think I'd really like to learn to make my own. I know there was a post floating around on the forum saying the basics of getting into it but I can't seam to find it again. Anyway I'm looking forward to learning with you guys.

Welcome!

Try to get ahold of a copy of “How To Make Knives” by Bob Loveless. This is a great book for beginners.

Welcome. Try s few kits first, and like mentioned above, find some books that will show the basics. I am thinking about taking a class at a Wood working business who will supply the blades and we put in the handles and shape them. Check the local area for such classes or hobby courses. There may also be some local makers who do hammer-ins.

Welcome and Hello.
