Hello everyone! Im a long-time lurker, first time poster. Ive learned a TON from reading this forum, and Id like to thank this entire community first and foremost.
You can call me Fire Beard. I have a big red beard. I hate spiders, but I absolutely love Spyderco. Ive been a knife guy since I was a kid, and Im 30 now. It all started with a fixed blade knife my grandfather gave me when I was about 10. I can still remember the smell of the leather sheath. Seeing my budding interest, my dad gave me a VSA soon after. The first knife I ever bought myself was an Old Timer (remember those?).
Anyway, Im glad to have finally joined this forum. I have a relatively small collection right now, but I see many more knives in my near future, especially Spyderco - which is far and away my favorite knife company, and one of my favorite companies in general. Great quality and great value! The ergonomics and fit and finish are second to none (IMO) with an outstanding selection of different steels, locks, handle materials, etc. I love their designs: they have everything from the straight-forward to the totally funky, with pretty much everything in between. Whats not to love about Spyderco?
One thing Ive noticed during my time browsing this forum is that many of you are excellent photographers. I am not, but Ive snapped a pic of my collection anyways. After all, what would a first post be without showing you what Ive got? Im looking forward to participating in discussions with you like-minded individuals. Enjoy!
