Yeah, so I'm new if you didn't know. Just bought my first knife over $20 bucks and worried/excited I might have started another expensive addiction. I'm a responsible gun nut to the fullest but a knife noob. I have a couple Bowie style fixed blades and my only folding knife is a black combo bladed S&W spec ops tanto I've had forever. Just purchased my first blade over $30 and after tons of research and trying to find the best deal/value, I bought a Benchmade Rift 950 plain edge stainless. Never sharpened a blade before so definitely will be looking for info for that along with some possible mods for the Rift. Then onto other knifes. Won't be able to add anything constructive for a while but looking forward to the wealth of knowledge I'll learn and I've already learned from this site. God speed and watch your finger tips! Don't want to see you in the ER anytime soon.
