  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hi, short introduction from a new member.

I'm Michel, from the Netherlands and fairly new to knives. I registered to this forum to learn more about knives, axes, and everything around it.

At the moment my "outdoor gear" consists of:

KA-BAR Becker BK7
Böker Plus Vox T-Hawk tomahawk axe
Fenix PD35 TAC flashlight

and of course some maintenance stuff like various waterstones, a lansky puck, ballistol oil (for preservation purposes) etc.

I know, not much stuff yet, but i'm sure my collection will grow :)

Next thing to buy will be a good EDC folding knife.

Welcome, hope you find out what you're looking for. For EDC, I'd recommend a SAK, a good pocket knife should have a bottle opener and a can opener as you never know when you might be able to impress the ladies when noone else can open a bottle of brew. Have fun.

Welcome aboard. It seems we Europeans are getting more and more on this great site.

I wish you a great time here on BFC :)

Thank you!

I have heard and read this advice often. At the moment, the Victorinox Outrider, Nomad, Trailmaster or Locksmith are on my shortlist :)

Problem with the different Victorinox knives is: there is always one missing function and the one that has them all appears a little bulky...

G'day and welcome to the forums!
Can't go wrong with a Swiss Army Knife. Or an Opinel either for that matter. Get one of each :D
