Hey everyone, new member here. Just thought I'd post up and introduce.

Id say my knife knowledge is in the fair category, and a tiny collection. Not an expert by any means but really enjoying the hobby so far!

Also posted in the sales thread as I'm trying to make room for some new stuff.

Thanks for welcome!

Welcome. What does the tiny collection consist of?

Welcome to the forums ... you can definately learn alot on here I know I have.

Looks like a nice collection you have started there ... careful if you blink they multiply quickly once you frequent here.

You have some great knives in your collection already, one of my favorite Benchmades in the 940 and one of IMO the best of all of the Spydercos, the Manix 2 LW. After owning multiple PM2s and a couple of Manix 2 LWs, I've never understood why everyone raves about the PM2 when the Manix 2 LW is IMO superior in just about every way (lighter, smaller in the pocket, ergonomically superior, etc.).

I agree! That is one of my favorites. Its usually that or the 940 in my pocket. I love the LW but i seem to have gotten one with a more stiff ball bearing lock, Its still OK but doesn't swing incredibly smoothly. I've read others have had similar experience with the LW, and the videos i see the regular model looks much more smooth. Wish i could take it apart and see whats up but it's pinned :(.

That's a great start. In fact, you'd be happy if those were the only knives you owned for the rest of your life!

But there'll be more.

Mine was like that, so I jammed a rolled up piece of paper into the button gap while I had it pulled all the way back and left it like that for a week in a drawer and it softened up just enough to make it pleasant to use. You might give that a try . . .

Well started off small with some of the "classics", then started expanding from there.
So far:
  • Rat 1
  • Delica 4
  • Mini griptillian
  • Manix 2 LW
  • Para 3
  • BM 940
  • Kizer Megatherium
  • Kizer Ki401C2 (currently trying to sell as it doesn't see any time out of the case)
And a ZT 0460 on the way :)
Your little collection is quite a bit bigger than mine

The rat, mini grip and delica were basically just must haves everyone talked about when i first started. They got me hooked, the mini grip is the only one that I use at all. The Megatherium i just had to have for the coolness factor but that rarely makes an appearance besides to play with it. Same with the Ki401C2 - I actually posted it in the marketplace to try and free up some space but I've got a hunch people might be apprehensive of buying from a new member, guess we'll see what happens.
