Hi all, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to introduce myself or not, but this seemed like the right place. I've been lurking on here for several years, and in late 2016 I started making my own knives via stock removal. I spend a fair amount of time elsewhere on the innertubes, but often find myself in the knife maker forum here seeking answers to my questions, so I figured it was about time to join. I'm looking forward to participating and learning, thanks for having me!

Awesome! I like the design!
Thanks, I don't make the style shown that are finished anymore, the handle was really uncomfortable to me with that bump in the handle, so I have some newer handle designs I do now that aren't pictured, except for the stack of unfinished blanks. I made 34 blanks this last time so I could get a discount from the heat treating company (I'm still working on a way to do my own heat treating) so I'll have plenty to keep me busy when I get them all back!

Welcome to the forums Robert ... had a look at your pictures ... some nice looking knives ... Great to have you aboard.

Very nice work! Have you ever considered doing tapered tangs?
Yes, this is something I have been considering, I'll be trying it out on some mild steel practice blanks next time I have a few hours free. I've always admired them as a sign of a good maker.
