Been lurking for a while, so I thought I'd join. Only real knife experience is production folders. I use them mainly for utility and defense. I've been wanting a custom folder for a few years now so I finally broke down and ordered a RJ Martin Devastator from Les Robertson. Anybody have experience with them? I looked at several other makers (Chew, DB Fraley, Duncan, etc), but decided the Devastator had what I needed. I'll write up a review when I get a chance to use it a bit.

Is this your knife?

Looks great! Nice start for a good knife, IMO!

Thats the one I ordered. I really enjoy the folders of this type, and from the research I've done, there are tons out there. It was a real hard choice for me to buy this knife over the Torrent 4.0 by DB Fraley. The Devastator was available and the Torrent wasnt. I've also really developed a liking to the John Smith folders - I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Howdy! Honestly at first glance I thought that knife was pug ugly , then it's beauty pounced upon me like a tiger ! Very nice !! (coming from someone who doesnt know a whole lot) :D
Only thing I'd be concerned about is ruining the design on the blade by sharpening.... (I'm sure that would happen to me)
Also by your name I'm assuming your an Iron Madien fan ?? :D
Aces High!!!!!

Actually the knife on top (red background) and bottom is the same one and it is mine. I also ordered the same knife without the blade grooves and without the thumb disk. I thought it will be my only flipper but then I got to handle the DeLuge by Fraley. I need to say I ordered the Torrent as well. I do not know how DB Fraley does that but the knife opens with no effort - I never had a folder that would open so nicely.
