Hi, I just joined and I have a lot to learn about how to navigate this site. I am from West Virginia and just recently started collecting a few knives although I have always had a few and like most of them. I guess my favorite is the Schrade .I have about 5 of them. Well now to my question. Is there any way I can find the history about certain knives like for example the numbering system of Schrade knives and the years that each number was made? If you go into the Manufacturers Forum you will find a Schrade Forum. They are probably your best bet to find information about your Schrade knives.

BTW, there is a neat farmers market east of the Charlestown Raceway on Rte 340 about five miles before the Potomac river, selling lots of different knives. If you sift through the crap long enough, you might find some nice automatics and slipjoints.
