Hello,

I am new to the forum. I study and teach Lacoste/Inosanto Kali under Progressive Fighting Systems. Wanted to give a hello and I hope to contribute to the forum in a positive way.

I did not realize this forum was here until recently. Interesting to see some of the names here.

Grew up in Stockton, CA and was living there when Johnny LaCoste was killed on the back porch of the Dagohoy Lodge.

Most of us knew the Masters in their normal lives. I worked with Angel Cabales at a Filipino service Organization that did work with the UFW (my mom-in-law babysat his daughter) and Max Sarmiento sold my parents a home when he worked for a housing contractor. Mang Leo was just that, Mang Leo and Danny Inosanto's mom was my Grandmother's best friend.

I recall one night when a local Filipino Organization sponsored an event that featured the Stockton Masters on on stage: Angel Cabales, Mang Leo Giron, Max Sarmiento, Gilbert Tenio and Dentoy Revillar. Unbeknown to us at the time, that was a historical night.

Thanks for keeping the legacies of these men alive.
