Hello all. I've lurked on this site for quite a while now and thought I'd finally join the ranks as a member. I'm LE in Kansas and carry/use several different knives on duty, including Benchmades, SOG's and a few other brands. I'm also a gun nut but am starting to get back into blades a bit more. I look forward to posting some and thank you all for the good info that I've gotten while lurking.
 
Welcome JBH! Sounds like you already have better knives than LEO's I know. They carry absolute crap, and think they are good. Read lots here, learn lots, and of course share pics of your stuff.

Mongo, you're right. Most LEOs brag about the $30 knife they got from Lowes. My current carry is a Benchmade auto mini Stryker. I had the full size but "lost" it in a patrol car 5 years ago. Cops steal too I guess. Boot knife is 2003 SOG Pentagon. Thanks for the welcomes.
 
Welcome , I live in Kansas city on the Missouri side. I too am a gun and knife nut. I carry misty kershaw brand blades.

Thank you for all the welcomes. This site truly seems first class. I'll be visiting several different threads about some different carry knives, then I will be posting a mint condition SOG Desert Dagger for sale in the classified section here (the old 1997 Japan steel model with nylon sheath). I'm also looking at a new carry knife for both on and off duty and will be looking for some good insight on what's what these days in best brands, best steel, etc. I've been involved with guns for so long, I've gotten rusty with my blade knowledge.
