Still being fairly new to the forum, I wanted to take the time to show off a few pics of my 2 with it's brand new scales. My first post was on how to dye the scales, that being said, I havnet gotten to that yet. My local stores are low on clothing dye and I don't think lily pink would be too flattering on a survival knife :D. BUT, here it is with the strip, convex and micarta with stainless hardware...let me know what you think!

I did a vinegar patina on the blade a few days ago. I didn't like it that much do to the fact that the sanded finish wasn't consistant along the whole peice. So, I'll be doing that again tonight and posting more pics later. Maybe some jimping along the spine????

That thing is BEAUTIFUL!!!

You can also use fiebings leather dye to dye the scales, or hit up king soopers/piggly wiggly/safeway/ whatever supermarket is around you, and they should have a fabric/laundry section with about 15 different RiT dyes.

If you cant track some down pm me.

Tin.Man...thanks man. I've bee. Searching but I'm almost thinking about letting the scales color naturally. I'm about to take go out on a trip in the next few weeks so I'm still on the fence about it. But ill def post some pics when and if I do it.

Whereismyclock...yeah a lot of people have told me about the vinegar patina and how easy it is. When I did it, it only took about 30 min to get this finish. Just wrap it in a old hand towel and let it sit.
