So I got woke up this morning by the UPS guy wh brought me my package from NGK. When I opened the package, I was sent the wrong MT Assailant that I had ordered. Oh well, I skipped school all day:eek:and drove to Bluefield and got the exchange. I also picked up a new MT Amphibian. I must say, this folder feels nearly perfect in my hand. Another point for MT for making a great folder. Anyone else carry the Amphibian??? I would like to hear your stories.

Suprisingly THICK! It needs to be opened and closed some to break it in. This thing is BRAND new and needs some action. There is NO way that the lock on this knife will fail on ya. I guess any knife can but I would be my finger on it. Great knife.

Don't want to drag down any of your satisfaction in the amphibian, but I had one that repeatidly failed spine tests even though lock up was tight and without play. It was an older one, with the rubber inserts. It had a very thick liner type lock on it. Other than that, it was a cool knife. I really like the blade shape. Reminds me of a commander. The handle has alot of curve to it. The combination of the blade/handle really sits the edge forward, which I like alot.

Its cool Siggy, I am sure that all knives have lemons. But from what I have heard and read, the vast VAST majority of Microtech blades are quality pieces. I am hoping that mine is one of those :)

My MT Assailant is still my favorite knife though! I have 3 of them :)

I have a mt mini socom and it's one of my favorite knives I've ever had. I hope you enjoy the amphibian for a long time.
