anyone see the ad in the july issue of bladeworld? it's for a new greg lightfoot designed manual microtech folder. it looks alot like one of his custom knives with a carbon fiber handle and a modified tanto point blade...but, it's going to sell for less than $200....can't wait til they come out...

The LCC/MA has an MSRP of only $145 and will use Microtech's new S90V steel. Available beginning early in June, best to contact your favorite MT dealer now if you want one of the first batch as the line for these gets longer almost every day.

I put in my order for one of these from Chief before I saw the picture. Now it is getting harder to wait. Can't go wrong with a MT product, IMHO.
 
I had already planned to get a Compact Combat but now that I have seen a color picture, I am 100% sold! That green carbon fiber is gorgeous!
 
Why the switch from 154CM? I doubt this other steel has as fine a grain structure as 154CM, but without knowing anything about it, I am just guessing

What I wanna know is it's RC, and it corrosion resistance.

I can't say anything much or they will shoot me

but consider this...it will not have to be coated for corrosion resistance so that should tell you that it is much better than 154CM / ATS-34 in the corrosion department plus have superior edge holding. If you like the CPM steels, you will love this stuff, most of you will buy knives made from this steel, that is how good it is going to be.
