New Microtech Vector, manual priced in high $200's - WHY?

I guess it's only because "I" want one that the price is way high. I unknowingly tend to have good taste for things that are sooo expensive. BUT WHY? Arn't other manual microtechs priced in the mid hundreds? New steel? new handle? new mechanism? NO! Someone straighten me out. New design? YES. What’s the deal.

Three words that will answer this and any question as to why a company will charge seemingly outrageous prices for any new product.... "because they can"...
