Howdy all

Got my first Emerson in the mail today, a Mini waved CQC-7. Just curious - most of my other knives (Benchmade, CRKT, etc) seem to be a lot "looser" to flip open. The Emerson is fairly stiff

I'm sure part of this is that it just needs to be broken in, but I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to add a touch of oil to quicken the opening some?

thanks much in advance
Mike

Mine also was tight, I did just that... just a tiny bit of Rem oil and perfect.. The lock up got way better with some use.

Oil the pivot but also place a small drop on each of the liner detents. This will really help with opening.

I have a super cqc-7 and it was that way a first but it broke in in a very short amount of time.

One person said try turning the pivot screw. That also helped alot.
