I have a question:

It's a 2013 model and I'm pretty sure it has standoffs. Is there any place to get different standoffs for it? or anybody know what size of standoffs by any chance?

I have some plans for it and just curious about these.

Yours might have standoffs. Just the latest 2013's have the standoffs.

I have a couple emersons with standoffs and I don't like them. I had to many problems with them and the screws getting stripped.

I prefer the backspacer.
 
I have both with and without standoff's, and view standoff's as an improvement. If you have thread issues with a backspacer model, it can't be fixed with hardware (unless it's strictly the screw that's damaged).

That is true because the screws go through the backspacer and barely thread into the titanium liners. If the liner gets stripped then you need to ship the whole knife in to get the titanium liner replaced...

With the standoffs all they have to do is send you a new standoff.
 
So I guess everyone should be careful to make sure the screws are going in straight in and do not tighten them to much, or stop if you feel resistance while turning the screw. If you don't then this will cause the ti grips or the standoffs to be stripped.

That said.. getting the replacement standoffs is much better for the customer as shipping charges would be zero.
 
So I got the cqc15 in and it came with a backspacer and is awesomely smooth.

First you need a host site like photo bucket to transfer the pics from your computer. If you have the pics there then just right click on the pic and copy and paste the "properties" here and I will do the rest for you.
