New Mini Grip, is this Normal???

Hi, I just received this new mini grip from an authorized Benchmade online dealer. Is it normal to have these imperfections on the bottom of the scales? Do they just not finish the scales well, or did I get a fake?

I bought one same color about six months ago. Just checked and it also has those marks. Just leftovers from being molded I'd assume.

It’s a Griptilian belly button, move along, nothing to see here.

All mine have that as well. It's from the molding process.

Yep mine do also and always have! Even have an 11 year old one with that.

My full size Grip has them too. There is a spot of dirt in the middle of each one, which makes them look like eyeballs. It's just my Grip's way of keeping track of me I guess.

Thanks guys! Happy I don't have a fake, but disappointed in the finishing of the scales. Had I known this was a feature of the scales I would have opted for the black version--I image it is harder to see the dirt that gets in there.

I wonder if lightly sanding the area would get rid of it? It is driving my OCD self nuts...
