New Mini Griptilian, or North Fork?

I prefer the mini grip because it's less bulky and comes in my flavor.
If you like a more hand filling grip and s30v, the north fork might be better.

I switch between both I have a yellow sheepsfoot mini grips and a wood NF

The mini is too small for my hand.

I love my North Fork. I took off the clip and drop it deep in pocket. Also, this is my first recurve. I love it - really slices through things. The front jimping is a nice touch too. I think the North Fork is highly under appreciated. The wood scales look classy too!

Ah, forgot about the north fork recurve. That was removed in the 1st few days of owning it.

I have a 555 that gets more pocket time
Then anything else.

I think I prefer the North Fork over my 556. The axis lock action is smoother when opening/closing but that could just be my particular version. And it fills the hand more when using it. However the 556 simply disappears in my pocket its so small and light, if that's important to you. It's a close decision. I don't think there's a bad decision between the two.

The axis lock springs are at least twice as stout on all mini grips compared to my north fork, but all are very smooth.
Also, the NF does feels more rigid, maybe due to thicker and non nested liners? This could account to why it feels smoother, due to less flex?

For general EDC I think the Mini Grip is pretty good. The 707 is better. (Both are a little short for my hand but I deal with it)

I've handled the North Fork at my local REI and think it's more comfortable. The Grip has always been too small (or short, agreed...) I've got big mitts and so the NF would be my choice. Also the full liners give the knife a solid feel both in looks and stability.

Yes, me too. This is why I switched to a Delica. I still have my BM's and use them from time to time, though. As for a Benchmade I prefer the Elishewitz 730 or the Stryker. The 730 has enough handle to get 4 fingers on and is still trim enough to carry.

I've had both a Mini Grip and North Fork, but not at the same time (sold the Grip a while back, just got the North Fork in a trade recently). I much prefer the North Fork, it just feels better (and more filling) in my hand, and the materials are all better (my Grip was 154CM). With that said, I've had my eye on a Ritter M390 Mini (or full, undecided) for a while, I want to get one and put either AWT scales on it or carbon fiber scales on it (from KSF).

I own both and I pick the North Fork over the Mini Grip about 85% of the time. The biggest factor for me is just how comfortable the knife is in my hand. It feels like it was custom built for my hand size and shape so I'm a little biased in that regard. I also love the look of the Dymondwood and the blade shape is perfect for my usage. I won't knock the mini grip though...it's hard to go wrong with either knife!

If I had a north fork it would be in my pocket due to to the better blade. I have a few mini grips and for a guy with big hands I find it perfect as a secondary knife. After cutting boxes with it I do find that it does need touch uos to the edge quite often. This might be less frequent with a better blade like tue north fork, however, the price I paid for my hrips was half the price of a north fork so ill take it for the price any day.

Handles are easy to crack... take my word for it. Sent it in to benchmade and they replaced the very light brown scales for a very dark set of brown wood scales. Even better. Great great knife but tighten the pivot with ease
