Just got home and found UPS had dropped off a box containing my new Spyderco mini Manix. Holy smokes, they should have named it the "brute" or something. That's a serious hunk of S30V! Actually, the whole knife in general is built like a tank. So far I'm really liking it. Sharpest blade I've ever encountered on a production folder.

Got a question though. I noticed that the blade isn't perfectly centered between the liners when closed. It sits much closer to one side and scrapes just a little if you open it left-handed. Can this be adjusted by me, or is that something only the factory can/should do?

Check the pivot screw that hold the blade to see if it is loose or needs to be screwed in correctly. If this does not fix the problem, then you have a defect, and I would recommend contacting Spyderco to have it fixed or replaced.

Don't worry, Spyderco will make it right, and they are nice people to deal with. It's unfortunate, but I've gotten knives with this problem as well as many others from pretty much every brand I've dabbled in.
