New Mini-Skirmish isn't engaging that good?

Just got a new mini-skirmish...is it just me, or does it look like the liner isn't engaging enough?? Is this a factory second, or are all mini-skirmishes like this?

My mini-dejavoo had the same issue when i first got it. After a couple days of use, it settled in a bit and now locks up solid at the halfway point. Give it a chance to wear in and see if you like it after that.
 
Throw it open hard, maybe two or three good times. This should mate the parts better, and set the lock. Also moving the lock bar to the other scale a little more. Most Ti framelocks all need this to "set" the lock.

Comon' folks, you know somebody was bound to say it so I just got in early and out of the way!

As for the lockup, I would not be too concerned as with openings it will work itself over to it's "sweet spot", an several hard openings may help it on its way.
 
I had similar issues with mine when it was new, and now it locks up like a tank. It's my main EDC and is in my pocket right now. Great knife.
 
It'll break in. I'd actually be kinda glad with something like that. That to me means that there's a lot of room for it set in over time.
 
It's engaging, by my estimation, a tad over 1/4 of the blade. That's good and it will set in a little over the next 100 or so openings. I have one too, and it's well settled in now at about 3/8 or so the thickness of the blade.
 
My large Skirmish was like that and a sticking lock, after a while it wore in and it's great now.
 
Personally I'm not happy unless the frame lock engages fully, so I mod mine to do just that.

Any one who is banned and signs back up without contacting us is not legit.

He has done so numerous times. He is nothing but a punk troll and does not belong in this community.

Here is the type of legitimate person he is.

Like most trolls he is not as smart as he thinks he is at sneaking back in either since he has been banned 11 times.

He is more than welcome to apologize for his behavior then we may consider letting him stay.
