Hello friends. So as posted in a couple other theads I just received a high end Mnandi with DT basketweave Damascus blade and beautiful bark ivory scales. This knife is a work of art, so much that I won't carry it using the pocket clip. I'll carry this in the provided CRK leather sheath. It's been a while since owning a Mnandi, and the shops work seems to get better and better. Great detent for a knife this size along with early lock up and smoothness. The polished ivory scales are something to behold in person and my cruddy photos don't do this knife justice. The SS Damascus blade has what seems to be a brighter etch than my large 21, almost a sheen to it. Very nice. My only small disappointment(and by no means that big of a deal) is that the knife did not come with a replacement screw for pocket clip removal. I called and talked with Angela who said they would promptly send one to me. I just feel this is something that should be included with these knives.
Other than that, again, this small folder is pretty sweet. So my CRK family continues to grow for the most part, I now have one of each flavor. This was the "one" I was lacking in my collection. I'm sure many more follow.
Thx for reading everyone.

Sorry, I have no idea what you said....I was too busy looking at those pictures ! :p That is one beautiful Mnandi for sure. :)

Firstly, your knife is absolutely gorgeous! How cool are those scales? To think, that stuff I literally ancient, and once part of an incredible beast.

The only bummer is that your bottom pic confirms that the knife is a bit too small for me.

I really like the size of large Sebenzas and Umnumzaan. I truly believe that I'd own a Mnandi if only they made one that fit my hand. :(

Yours is about as nice as I've ever seen though. You're very lucky! :)

Great knife - congrats!
I am with you on the clip-screw thing!
The scales are too beautiful.

I still like that one! I am new to these knives but it does not take long to appreciate the inlays and work to takes to create each one. Two great inlays and that now is my favorite damascus pattern. That one is special.

From the photos it's easy to tell that it is beautiful in person!
Congrats on that purchase.

Congrats on an awesome score.
Just as an FYI, I always carry my Mnandis in a sheath but do not remove the clip. I find the clip helps to keep the Mnandi in the sheath, especially once the sheath is molded to the Mnandi.
There's nothing wrong with removing the clip though, some prefer it that way.

Very nice for your first! Going to be difficult to top that one though, absolutely stunning piece:thumbup:

Thx for all the great comments friends. I do agree that the knife is small, but that's what is great about it, that gentleman's carry for unique or special occasions. Video for follow on my YouTube channel.. ESPMET

"the one" gets thrown around in here alot, but that Mnandi deserves it.

Thanks for bringing it by for me to check out Brohammie, that is a fine work of art in the form of a still very functional knife- if you weren't my friend I might be jealous, rounds out your collection nicely.

P. S. I want that Estrella!
Thanks for the Maxpedition pouch.

My pleasure my brother.

Beautiful Knife. I see you mention "high end mnandi". Is there a low end? :-)

For materials and price I say yes, though all of Chris's products are outstanding

Fantastic! Loving this Mnandi! Im glad you started a thread on it because I was wanting new pics and thoughts!
