Well, I got my new Mnandi the other day. I bought it as a "dress up" knife for when I put on a suit or slacks. (My normal EDC is a small sebenza). Finally got a chance to take some pictures for you all to look at.

(I've never taken pictures of knives before, especially up close like this. You sure see all the spots you forgot to polish up when you do this, don't you?)

Anyway, here's my new mnandi. The inlay is black dyed amboyna:

Here's the back-side of the same knife:

And, finally, just for grins here's my entire Chris Reeve family. From top to bottom these are a Mountaineer II (my woods-walking knife), a small Sebenza with micarta scales (EDC'd every day for over a year now) and of course the new Mnandi.

Of course, looking at that picture, I'm thinking a large Sebenza with a nice graphic would balance it out nicely. But no, no, no, that'd be going too far, wouldn't it? :D

Sweet Mnandi, nice scales.

Too far? Naw, a large graphic Sebenza would balance the set out nicely!

Holy guacamole, Batman!!!!

That is art. Thats is beautiful. The ultimate gentlemans folder and all these other stunning knives. Beautiful pictures, beautiful knives. Respect.

I'm dreaming and planning of investing on an Aviator and a nice Mnandi to complement my Sebenza. That just made me see the light. I MUST do it!!!! :D

I haven't seen a two-toned via a dying process, on Amboyna before, that really looks good.

bulgron, that is a very nice looking knife. I haven't paid much attention to the other CRK folders, but this one is really nice looking. Hmmmm, do I want one...? OBTW, you might want to post a pic in the Just Images thread, very worthy knife to show.

Whooah!! That's a gorgeous mnandi!!!

I agree with the stjames, definately treat yourself to the large graphic!;)

Take care, Heath.

Hey, thanks for all the replies guys. pkdmslf, I'll definitely add an entry to the images only thread, even though there's already a black dyed amboyna in there.

Great! Now I have to start hunting for a black dyed amboyna mnandi, thanks a lot.

Seriously, that is really a great looking inlay. Congrats.

Thanks bulgron for directing me to your old thread. May I just say, that this is the most beautiful Wood inlaid Mnandi I ever saw.

My heart was beating faster when I saw this piece in all it's glory... :)

Thanks Guys, It's Years of Hunting plus a lot of Luck.

You have insane skills at ferreting out incredible finds Dino! Thanks for paying it forward a bit recently! And I think it's cool that this thread got resurrected! And of all weeks for it to happen, Easter week! So here's my contribution.

A double snake!

Now maybe a few more will throw in some pics.
