I have been looking into a new slippy lately. I went to Gander Moutian and found this Case CV Canoe. I have never owned this pattern before so I bought it. I really like it. It fits in my front pocket perfectly. I wanted it to be an easy opoener (without useing nail slot) and I wanted a small clip point for delicate tasks. So this is what I did. It will make the small bade weaker, but it will be used for mor delicate tasks any way. I think this makes it a perfect EDC for me, we'll see! I like that it has the dual springs, makes for thinner blades than say a Queen Canoe (or so I read) for great slicing. Cardboard and such.

Not a bad mod at all. While the blade shape of the smaller blade is not my favorite, I do really like the idea of being able to grab the blade between two fingers and not use the nail nick.

I like it.....the pen blade looks like an itty bitty bowie.

Thanks guys. I love being able to pinch open the main blade. I'm not sure I am finished with the small blade point yet. I think I want it more clip pointty.

That's a pretty good idea- I like it! I don't think you'll break the pen blade unless you pry with it. Nicely done, sir.

If you are really careful with the clip blade then you should be ok but most of the strength of blades is in the spine, the thickest part of the blade. But, if it makes the tool better for you to use then kudos.:cool:

It's a sweet set-up for me. For what i'm useing it for the small blade will hold up great I'm sure. I do agree however that 80% or so of the strength is in the spine, but for me it souldn't be a problem!

Hey that's pretty slick and truly a one of a kind:thumbup:

I can't imagine the small blade not holding up to light duty cutting tasks.

Thanks for sharing
Helle
