I received the modded ZT0301 that I bought from NDJeep today. For those who might have missed his posts about it, the blade was done by Tom Krein and the scale and the rest of the finish work was done by Phillip Dobson. This is the first time I have had first hand experience with either of their work and both did an amazing job. Anyway, here are a couple of pics.

I like it, i nearly jumped on that one myself. He had a good price on it, and its sort of one of a kind. How does it compare to your other ZT's
as far as smoothness, locking, unlocking, and opening. Good score too,

It locks up great and unlocks smoothly. The only issue is that it doesn't open with the same authority as the other ones. On the factory ones, I can slowly start opening the blade with the flipper and the AO will kick in and it locks with a loud "thwack" sound. The modded one needs a little more flick to open the blade and lock up. Otherwise, it doesn't quite open the blade all the way. Not a big deal.

I really do like the new look of the knife. I love the tactical look of the factory version, but I also love the classy look of the modded version. I would highly recommend both Tom Krein and Phillip Dobson if you are looking to have a production knife modded.

Also wanted to thank NDJeep for coming up with the idea and doing the leg work. I am glad he decided to share the love and sell it off! :)

Loosen the nut a little. I hate blade play and thus keep mine a little tight.

Should take care of that...

Great pics too!

No sweat...I will play with it some. I have had to do the same thing with other speed safe knives.

That is a great mod ! I love the concept of the ZT 'tank knives' but prefer a much pointier tip :)

Nice collection
