Hey guys. The knives this week are spoken for two pretty little gems. First I'd like to introduce the new model, the Fiddleback Carver. This is my replacement/redesign of the Woodpecker model. The handle is much more suited for carving IMO. The blade is 2 3/8" long with a 4.5" handle. I'm keeping the convex ground one in this picture for further testing. One of the available knives is the white linen over natural linen with an orange stripe one. Scandi ground on 1/8" 3D Spalted 01 steel. $195 shipped US. $30 for a Sheath.

Which brings us to the disappearing pins. This has been in my dreams for months, and I finally did one last week, and two more this week. Whatcha say?

This last one is the other available knife this week. Scandi Bushfinger. Nat can over OD can with an orange stripe. The White pins that are disappearing into the bullseye are following a 1/8" mosaic pin. $235 shipped US. $40 for a sheath. The steel is 1/8" thick 3D Spalted 01 Scandi'd and wicked.

Andy I like the pins a lot!

However I have simple tastes. I really like your standard handle pin configuration. Your handle shapes, material selection and and pins combine for handles that are both extremely functional, beautiful and classy in my eyes.

I see the disappearing pins as another signature design (option?) that sets your handles apart.

Looking sharp:rolleyes:, I couldn't resist. Any feedback on the performance of these carvers?

Its very comfortable in every grip. I haven't put it to wood yet, but I will do a bit of testing today.

You mean the Bushfinger above right? If so, then it is yours. You beat New York on this one. (Sorry NY). Please paypal the funds, for the knife ($235), sheath ($40) if you want it also. If you are within the US, the shipping is included. If not then please add $45 to the total and send a very detailed address including phone #!

Please describe this transaction in your payment notes.

Thanks!!!

If the Bushfinger is available I will take it! Dibs!

He says Bushie in his post above, but there are not Bushcrafters listed, so I think he means Bushfinger. If thats not the case, then you win! Thanks!

Those pins look pretty neat. I would vote to keep it on some and go simple on others, mix it up, they will both sell! I think some of my favorite knives are the "throwback" old school Fiddlebacks with beautiful wood scales, a bulls eye tube and no liners...those have a simple beauty that I miss seeing. It would be nice to see a few of those pop up every now and then, just for old times sake ;)

Those carvers look really nice!

as always great lookin' work Andy, although I have to admit I prefer the orginal style of your work....the disappearing pins aren't my bag.....coolto see ya mixing it up though...I'm sure they will sell well...

I am not a big fan of the disappearing pins. It's unique, but personally your handles have always been attractive because of their lines and simplicity.

The pins might look better if they either weren't such a contrast with the rest of the handle or if they met the Bullseye differently; but overall they are entirely too busy, and out of place, for my taste. I would prefer something more themed, and I took the liberty of doodling a quick example.

I don't know how well it translates, but it's supposed the be the Big Dipper. That's the kind of pin decoration I would appreciate more.

However, that being said I don't see myself buying more Fiddleback knives in the near future. I have my Woodsman and it does everything I need it to, so unless it breaks... I'm happy.

So take my thoughts and opinions for their market value (a grain of salt).
