New model by Flavio Ikoma - only a drawing but...

While Flavio doesn't like to show his folders bofore a prototype is ready, I convinced him to allow me to show you this one, the Harpia, that is his next model to be produced. The first harpias will be ready by Dezember or january and I did not wanted to wait until then to let you see it.
The Harpia will be availabile in 3 3/4" and 4 1/2" blade lenghts and its standard blade steel will be BG-42. Like all other Ikoma knives, from now on, this model will be numbered and will have a overall model life of 100 units, including both versions.

Ivan, I think it has the potential to be a very nice knife. Drawings never tell you the final story, but from what I can see it looks very good indeed.

Nice design. I like how the opened knife has flow to it, almost a symmetry.

Ivan - can you release details (handle material, blade material, finish, etc) about this or is that pretty much under wraps?

Thanks for your comments. For some strange reason - probably my fault - I was not notified of your posts. Sorry for taking so long to answer

Reagrding the technical data of this model, Dexter, it's basic model is availabile in 1/8" thick BG42 blade stell and with 0.093" thick liners and a variety of materials as scales or with 1/8" thick liners and integral construction, like all of Flavio's folders. A bolster can also be added to it.

You are right, Keith, about drawings and the real thing. We should have a proto ready in September for the São Paulo Knife Show but the first order should be delivered by December only.
