I'm the proud papa of four of Bob Doziers creations. I use them, Bob likes it that way, and so do I. I'm curious, does anyone know if Dozier has any new models out for 2001? Including the exclusives for some of the knife dealers he makes models for? Appreciate the heads up gents, thanks for any input you may have.

Mr Dozier's putting out numerous D2 folders that are relatively new. I don't know if any are 2001 releases. I was speaking to him last week and he said he is presently having some D2 cored damascus made. I don't know his intentions for that steel. His web site is here:

Thanks for the reply Bug. I tend to like his small fixed blade hunting and personal/utility type fixed blades. As far as I can tell he has nothing new for 2001. I just wondered if anyone had any insight on something in the works that may be forthcoming.

If you get the chance, check out his neck knife. I don't know how "new" it is, but it is SCHWEEEEEETTT!!!

Roy,
If you're referring to the "Razorback" I have that knife and like it very much. Along with a Master Skinner, K4 Straight Hunter, and Straight Personal.

Thanks bug for the thought.

I plan on getting at least one of the new Razorback neck knives at the Little Rock show this weekend. Unfortunately, I have to give one to a friend. But, I will carry and use the other one.

Today I asked Mr. Dozier what new knives he has for 2001 GC.

Wilderness Knife
This will be a medium size survival knife/big hunting knife. It's a fixed blade about 10 1/4" long overall with a 5 1/4" blade. It will be possible to order different lengths. The blade is 1 1/8" wide. The handle is a new shape. Mr. Dozier called it "generous". The sheath is also new. It is thumb opening with a web strap for carry. Mr Dozier said that he will have at least one at the March NY knife show as a sample to look at.

New Folder
Mr dozier is making a couple of new folders. One is made, but none have been sold. It hasn't been named yet. I forgot to ask if he will have it in New York. Given that some are made, I would guess he will.

He also mentioned the Trapper, but that is already on his web site.

Take care,
bug

I was mistaken. The neck knife I have is not the Razorback. I don't know the name of it yet but am searching.
