Here you go, the new model, as promised. I call this the Fusion Hunter because it is a fusion of some things you may not necessarily see together on the same knife: traditional (semi-skinner pattern and convex blade), modern (green canvas Micarta) and Asian (clay coated heat treat). Feels great in the hand at 5.75" OAL with a 2 9/16" blade. This is the "normal" model and I'll probably try one out that is larger. This one is sold already. Like I said, 1095 steel, clay coated heat treat with light etch to make the hamon pop, green canvas Micarta and stainless steel hardware. Also, the blade is fully convex ground, but has a beveled edge so the user can sharpen like a normal knife. I wish this one didn't sell because I really would love to keep it! :D

That looks great, love the blade shape and the scales. I would like to see one with a 3.5 or 4 inch balde. Nice job :)

Very nice. reminds me of the Green River knife. Sorta Nessmuck-ish too. looks like a great field knife.

The blade, or the handle, should be 4"? I don't hunt, although for some reason I love the semiskinner pattern, so any input for a larger version is appreciated!

That looks like a very handy knife, and a good size for an EDC.
I't looks just right for a pocket sheath, and you gotta love polished
green canvas micarta.

Thanks, Jon. I didn't want to part with that one, for sure. FWIW, I finish canvas Micarta to a 600 grit wet/dry sanding, then treat it with tung oil. The oil absorbs quickly and it gets a little dusty looking, but that's the nature of the beast. Just add a little oil and it looks pretty again.

Thanks, Eric! I've got another one coming down the line, too. Then I just realized I'm almost out of steel!
