Why Tom, I'm shocked at you! but HEY that is a nice looking knife!

What's your take on Talonite since you are working with it now? How thin do you make your edges?

(just kidding about the shocked part...

no kidding...shocked!!!!!!????!!!! i leave the edges pretty thick...around .030 i guess, but then i grind a long bevel so the very edge is thin...think this is the best way for this stuff...that way if anything bends..it will only be the very edge...and you could probably steel it back to straight. i am loving talonite...except when i have to drill all those holes...that is a big pain...laying them out takes a while too. but the stuff grinds nicely, takes a nice satin finish...gets and stays real sharp, and it WONT RUST!!!!! did i say i really like that knife...funny how ive made a million knives (18 years..not quite a million yet) but every once in a while i make one that just strikes me...this is one of those....its like everything fits or something....magic moment with your visa card (how come that never happens to me?) well enough rambling..have to wash the dog or my wife is gonna shoot me...she might do that anyhow.....lol. alohja
