Just kidding, Connie was cleaning out the closet and found it. My neighbor bought a bunch of these many years ago for $3 each, and was trying to sell them for $10 each. He never sold any, so ended up giving them away. They are total junk, made from the finest Taiwan stainless.

glad to see you've gotten on (and already off, it would seem :)) the tacticool bandwagon JK ;)

I mean, I don't know where you guys are planning on your survival scenario taking place, but for me a bottle opener is absolutely essential to any chance of besting any post-apocalyptic survival scenarios

I guted my my first black tail buck with one of those. The oldtimer said he got me a special knife. I think he just a kick out of watching me fool with it.

I fell for that one in the 80s, had one in a camo sheath. I think I paid 10 bucks. Maybe got it at the Army/Navy store.

now, you didn't have any issues with this before now, but I must note that your credibility just shot up in my book --

it takes a real man to admit to getting sucked into something like this --

even in the 80's :p;)

the truly hilarious thing, for me at least, is that now I kind of want one... you know, just so I'm not left out?

$10 isn't that bad :)

Rats. I was looking forward to a totally useless Rambo knife. So cool looking AND they can open a bottle top.

I have to admit, I owned one of these. Back in the 80's the one I had was called a Marine Combat Knife. The only difference is that the blade was black.

Yes, but in today's market, I could have used it to buy 1 1/2 cups of Charbucks, if you get a grande. The knife bug had to bite sometime in the beginning. I had already started on my path when I watched all the old Tarzan movies. Then I wanted a Big knife, like him. That is when I searched for a fixed blade. Got that one. Then my first real fixed knife of any quality, was a hollow handled knife from Hudson Bay Outfitters, the screw on top was cool and the overall construction was better, still 420 steel. Then I finally got the a USMC fighting knife in college. Used it to cut up fruit. Then the symptoms got worse and I started my collection after college graduation. Then my learning curve started growing.
