I know this has been asked before but I need to hear what you folks think about it again.
When you come up with a new pattern or model that you're going to be making, do you mark the first one as a prototype so it will be a little more collectible?
I have a new liner lock I'm going to be making on a regular basis and wasn't sure if I should engrave prototype on the reverse of the blade or not.
Any input you have will be appreciated!
Here's a link to a thread in the Gallery.

I would just hang onto it as a reference.....I wouldnt mark prototype on it though. Not sure just why....

While were talking about new designs....

Do you think that a new concept/design is more like a new design by the maker? THere are so many designs that we pull from its almost like taking a common design and modifing it to the makers idea of it..i.e size, arc length, handle shape...

It seems like when I sit down and start do do a layout its never really a new design just new to my drawing board. It will however be new as far as size and material stuff.

Well....not sure that made since but thats my morning babble...
