I was wondering what the time frame is usually for being able to get the new models once they appear in the 2006 catalog?

Is there any one particular dealer that might get them quicker, or is there a way to pre-order so you get it as soon as it becomes available?

Thanks for any information you might be able to give me.

Rainbowfly and black ATR are almost ancient history, both have been out well over 6 months.

Remote Release II, Centofante IV, , Ocelot, D'Allara Drop Point, 75mm Persian, 80mm Manix, Poliwog, Adventura, and Kumo have all been released.

At least one eBay seller is showing the new Delica 4 and Endura 4. Never dealt with them, so can't comment on their service.

Tasman Salt should be reaching dealers soon.

Based on the four released so far, would guess the next Kopa will be out around February, but that is a pure guess on my part, I have no "inside info".

Projected delivery date for the Volpe was two months ago, no sign of it yet. But out of about a dozen new and sprint run models TazKristi gave us projected delivery dates on back in May or June, only it and the ZDP version of the Delica have missed by much.

Have not heard even a rumor regarding the Red Bone Kiwi, Schempp Kris, or SmallFly.

Then there is the SzaboFly, which first appeared in the 2005 catalog, but has yet to ship. Have not heard a projected date for it recently.

Far as dealers go, don't think any one particular dealer consistently gets new models ahead of others.

Thanks. It is the Smallfly that I am longing for, so I guess I will just have to possess my soul in patience.

The Deacon, that is an amazing collection of yours ,and a very nice website.

Thanks again.:)

So what's the official word on the ZDP Delica? It will be a Delica 4 right? When is it supposed to arrive?

i'm really excited for the endura/delica 4 wave models. My endura 3 wave is the fastest knife i own. The addition of the skeletonized liner should make it perfect.

Sadly, the new catalogue is still missing a knife I'd very much like to see: An FRN folder with the blade geometry of the Calypso Jr. and a good carbon blade.

Thanks chumli, always nice to hear that others are enjoying it. We're in the same boat, I'm "trying" to be patient waiting for the Kris and the new Kiwi.

Last I heard was March/April, and yes it will be a Delica 4.

It's the waved Delica 4 that i Can't wait for. That and the low-ride clips for the delica/endura 4.

I understand that they are supposed to be out "around" february. I'd give my left nut for one now.

Received my Delica 4 today. I read from a different thread that it is slightly thicker than the previous Delica. I compared it to my present Endura, and if it is thicker, I can't tell. It is still slightly thinner than the Endura. The grip is much improved. The description on the site says a 3-D grip, but there is no added thickness to the grip. It is not as "3-D" than the Native. Very low profile still. The biggest improvement on the Delica 4 is definitely the grip. The texture is just awesome. The volcano grip with "teeth" that moves away from the center of the handle where the logo is located making the handle very grippy. Overall, great knife. And I thought you can't improve on perfection!
