To all my good friends of HI forum:

HI has come to another of Life's crossroads. As a Budhist I know change is constant, it is when things attempt to stop that problems most often occur.

The shop has had problems, and with a new shop manager and new kamis we are turning that around. Our forum needs change too. I've decided moderators on HI forum will be a 'tour of duty', and will be temporary, with a rotation so that many people will have an opportunity to participate in managing the forum we love. Bill was very special and unique. No one can replace him. He led by not being a leader, by letting the forum lead. We will honor him and that philosophy. I can think of no better way than by accepting the efforts of those who want to help, giving their best, then stepping aside to allow other contributions. Our forum needs to be free and happy once again.

I have asked Tedwa,(Ted) and Steely gunz, (Jake) to become our new moderators. Let's thank Nasty and Yvsa for their efforts, and welcome the new moderators today.

Hard shoes to fill...that Nasty guy has some steel in him, and Yvsa...well, I feel blessed to know him.:thumbup:

Change is good. The entire disposable diaper industry is based upon this principle.

I like the idea. Good people all around, and more where they came from, and it avoids feeling trapped or pressured when we know others are ready to do their share.

I used to rotate acting supervisors on the job, and got a lot of them interested in permanent promotions. But even very union-oriented people did well, and learned that supervising can be a complex and rewarding contribution.

Good choices for the new mods, too! :D
 
Thanks for your vote of confidence, guys:) It means a great deal to me. A big thank you to Nasty and Yvsa for leading the way. All of the mods from years past have tough shoes to fill. I have complete faith in Yangdu and Ted. Thank you for the opportunity. Let's pull HI to even greater heights, yes?:D

Well said, Yangdu. This forum has seen its share of change, as all things do. And you know what? Change is indeed good and natural.

My most sincere thanks to Nasty and Yvsa for being there for us during a rocky time. And my most sincere best wishes to Ted and Jake in the times to come.

Seriously, though. Thanks for modding, both old and new volunteers. It's not an easy job, and you do a great job stoking the HI spirit.

I agree that there are alot of people on this forum that I would trust to help keep it running.
