New modified CRKT Chogan hawk

Just finished putting this one together. Put a nice edge on it, cut off and smoothed the pole, scorched the haft and oiled the heck out of it. It is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about getting one.

Certainly looks much lighter now, that is a big hunk of steel on the poll.

It's made of 1055 and they seem to have done a really good job on the heat treat.

It feels very light and lively in the hand, but there isn't the bit to poll balance that most think you should have. It is bit-heavy.

LoL! How'd I miss that? I have a chogan and its an effective chopper, closer to a small axe than a hawk as far as its weight and use. I like it, but it wouldnt be something Ide pack very far.
