Looks like it might just be a new model of the 511.
Edit: Yep, according to this blog post its the new Morakniv Basic 511.
"This fall we will release a updated version of the old 510/511 as Morakniv Basic 511, still only 2mm thick blade but a robust version with a 3.2 mm thick blade will come to"
It's a new model MORAKNIV® BASIC 511 which will be available in Scandinavia in autumn 2014.
Sales in other markets will start later, exact dates are not confirmed yet.
I am pretty rough on those basic models because they are so dime a dozen, and I have a pile of them. It's nice to see them upgraded. I admit to being a little dismissive toward the basics because they are so inexpensive. But they are still a good knife for many of my needs.

The 510's are great, I picked up a bunch a few years ago, for dirt cheap, combined a holiday sale and a coupon with free shipping and a gift card I got as a rebate. In the end I paid only $10 out of my own pocket for 6 of them. My couponing mother would be proud. Glad to see they're coming back, hopefully the price stays low.
I got a couple of these knives now, the basic-511 and the pro-s (because those where in the store here in Norway). They are quite nice, new 511 is IMO a nice improvement over the old one, which I never really got used to. The all-plastic handle is so nice I`m not sure it`s worth the extra $$ to get the rubberized models, though they are wery nice indeed, and got a slightly different blade (not sure it`an "improvement", but different).
I was out metal detecting and I forgot my regular digging tools, My Leshe hand digger etc. I always carry one of these base Mora's, with a fero rod and fatwood taped to it, in the glove box. I didn't even feel the blade snap and I didn't feel that I was excessively rough with it. The square item was a 1929 Chauffeurs badge. A kind fellow on Bushcraft UK put these pictures up for me.
