New Moran

I just received my 1999 model FB1 Moran this week.Haven't really used it yet, but have two immediate observations:1.Of all my knives, this is probably the sharpest,out of the box.Positively scary! 2.The Kydex sheath is absolutely terrific!A real work of art.

Saw the topic, and thought, "Cool, the new Moran is out." Thinking that maybe it was the one that I have heard rumors about. A dropped point Moran. Any new word on this, or have I been dreaming? Anyone? Anyone?

Brian - We'll have to wait and see what happens with the current Moran before adding another one. Sales are OK on the Moran. Beter than they were since the changes, but certainly not what one would call a "hot" item. We'll Show & tell and wait & see.

Hey Sal, When you get ready to throw that drop point Moran away..... throw it my way!! (Sheathed of course !!)

I'll put it through the tests, field dressing some game this hunting season.

I think the drop point would be more popular than the skinner. I've heard several of the guys that I hunt with, look at my Moran and say, " I'd like to have one of those with a drop point."

I would go for some of those! I still love the ol' stlye ones, but I wouldn't mind a new all weather sheath.

Yes, me too on the drop point. By the way, I bought on of the new Morans the other day. I like it better than the original for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the new sheath. When it comes out in a drop point I'll add a third one to my collection.
