new multi-tool help

ive been browsing around for a couple of days now for something to replace my skeletool with. and can't really make a decission.
the skeletool is pretty slim which i like but the ergonomics (for me) is awfull. i usually carry it in my 5th pocket or always actually.
what im looking for? i don't really know i like the LM wave but i wish it had the serrated blade/hook of the charge. but im affraid it wouldnt fit my 5th pocket or that it will be to bulky. and it needs to have a pocket clip

any ideas?
 
Not sure about your 5th pocket size since they vary quite a bit. Check out the Leatherman Rebar.
 
An other option could be the Leatherman Kick, bu I'm not sure if there's a pocket clip for it. You could also check out the Wingman and Sidekick. Both have pocket clips.
 
My Charge TTi carries well in a Wrangler jeans 5th pocket, which is what I usually wear. A lot of it shows, but still secure. When carried that way, the pocket clip doesn't do much good, but I leave it on anyway in case I want to put it in another pocket for some reason.
 
Not sure about the 5th pocket. However, I like the Spirit better than any multi tool I have owned.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. My skeletool fits my 5th pretty good lengthwise in all of my denims which is what I use the most. It shows this much

Unless you guys are referring to the large pocket in front with a brass zipper as the 5th pocket I would have to agree with Capt. Spaulding and powernoodle.
 
From the pic, that is a much deeper pocket than most. I'm thinking that having one of the bigger, heavier tools up there would be uncomfortable.

Are you looking to carry more tools? or just better egros? and are you wanting better egros for the tools, or the pliers? Not too many of the other tools have a pocket clip, you would have to add one. you could probably get away with a rebar, but I think the wave would be too thick. another option may be to try to find an older sideclip model but I don't remember the tools, just that they are closer to the old PST style. also how important is the one-handed blade?

It's about the same depth as on all my denims, no Levi, wrangler, Lee, mainstream brands basically.
oht blade is preferred, it doesn't have to be LM but I want quality. adding a clip, if an easy task that don't involve heavy modification is alright.
