New multitool edc dilemma and recommendation

Okay everyone, so here's my problem. I carried a Leatherman wave every day for over a year until I became a collector and switched to a different tool every other day. I came to a point where my perfect edc was a combo of the skeletool and a swisschamp, but now a new niche brought me back to my wave. So now I carry the wave and a victorinox deluxe tinker (I like to pair a Leatherman and a victorinox for daily carry). But being a collector now means that I'm in the market for another, so here's my question to you: do I replace the wave with a charge al (or even work the corner for the extra funds for the charge tti) or do I leave the wave and swap the victorinox for the Leatherman crunch. The basic question is do I spend the money to upgrade the wave or do I go a totally other route and get the crunch.

P.s. I forgot to add that I got my hands on a 154cm leatherman blade so my wave does have a slight upgrade from normal.

Thanks!

You also should give the Victorinox Multitools a try - really great great tools!

Oh - but back to topic: You could try a Leatherman Rebar with a Victorinox Trailmaster... :foot:

I guess I am wondering why you wan't to replace the Deluxe Tinker with the Crunch? Do you need the tools on the Crunch over the Deluxe Tinker? The Crunch does not offer much in the tool department. With that said the Crunch is a awesomely unique multitool.

Like Humppa said if you are going to replace your Wave with something I would look into the Swisstool and Swisstool Spirit. They have different configurations of both models with slightly different tool sets.

I don't know what your work requirements are for your Multi , but consider the Surge .
If you are prepared to belt carry which I assume you are for the Wave , then upsize to the Surge .
I've tried everything you have mentioned on the Leatherman list ( haven't used the Swiss tools so can't comment ) and for me the Surge ticks the boxes . This search for the Multi Grail has taken me about 10 years , so I've given them all a good trial .
Weekends are different , then my Skeletool gets the most action .

Good luck choosing :)
